Billionaire tech titan Elon Musk suggested that the most likely cause of World War III is the global race for artificial intelligence. He added that governments would even take AI technology held at gunpoint if the need comes.

His company, SpaceX, launched a secret space drone for the Pentagon just this week. Last Thursday, they launched Air Force’s unmanned X-37B clandestine at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This is the fifth launch of the space vehicle, yet it’s the first time for SpaceX to facilitate the event.

X-37B’s mission isn’t clear, and the Air Force has kept quiet about the space drone. They mentioned that the X-37B is just an Orbital Test Vehicle or an experimental program to test and demonstrate technologies that are unmanned. The space drone can stay in orbit for several months, even up to 270 days.

The whole launching event was successful, despite warnings from weather forecasts of Hurricane Irma’s arrival.
